Petition filed under Section 11 of Contempt of Courts Act to punish the respondents for their willful disobedience of the order passed by this Hon'ble Court in W.P.(MD)No.2366 of 2021 dated 10.02.2021 .

Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court To issue a Writ of Mandamus to directing the respondents to pay the petitioner surrender leave salary for 134 days of Rs.3,27,442 for the years 2011-2018 together with interest at the rate of 18 percentage p.a from the date of retirement to till the date of disbursement within the time that may be stipulated by this Honble Court and pass such further or other orders as this Honble Court may deem fit and proper in the nature and circumstances of the case and thus render justice.

O R D E R

The learned counsel for the petitioner made a submission that the amount due to the petitioner has already been settled, however, the interest portion alone is to be settled.

2.This Court is of the opinion that the respondents are bound to settle the interest amount as per the orders of this Court and therefore, appropriate steps are to be taken by the respondents to settle the interest amount as expeditiously as possible. 3.The learned counsel for the respondents also assures the Court that he will give appropriate instructions to the competent authority to take steps to settle the interest amount as quick as possible.
