..Respondent Prayer: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondent herein to issue the Building License to the petitioner school under the Tamil Nadu Public Buildings (Licensing) Act, 1965, for the period from 01.06.2016 to 31.05.2019 based on the petitioner school's application dated 18.10.2016.

ORDER

The petitioner has come up with this writ petition for issuance of Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondent herein to issue the Building License to the petitioner school under the Tamil Nadu Public Buildings (Licensing) Act, 1965, for the period from 01.06.2016 to 31.05.2019 based on the petitioner school's application, dated 18.10.2016.

2. Heard Mr.D.Srinivasaragavan, learned Counsel appearing for

the petitioner and Mr.A.Muthukaruppan, learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondent and perused the materials placed before this Court.

3.The learned Counsel for the petitioner would submit that based on the direction issued by this Court in W.P.(MD) Nos.13039 and 13040 of 2010, dated 18.04.2013, the respondent has issued license for the period 2010-2013 and for the subsequent periods application filed by the petitioner are pending and hence the present Writ Petition.

4.In the light of the prayer sought for in this writ petition, without going into the merits of the case, this Court directs the respondent to consider the representation of the Petitioner, dated 18.10.2016 on merits and in accordance with law and pass orders on the same, after giving notice to the Petitioner and other interested parties, if any, as expeditiously as possible, preferably within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5.With the above direction, the Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
