ORDER
The petitioner herein seeks a direction to the second respondent to pass suitable orders on his application for making bulk sub division and issue change of patta in individual names in respect of the lands sold by him.
2.Heard the arguments of Mr.N.Sundaresan, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.M.Gangadharan, learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents. By consent of both sides, this Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself. 3.It is the case of the petitioner that he owned the lands with an extent of 3 acres and 71 1⁄4 cents along with one Kesavan in Survey Nos.149/2B1C, 149/2B1B, 149/4B, 149/5 in Keelapaguthi Village, Kadavoor Taluk, Karur District. The said lands were formed as
layout along with adjacent lands. After obtaining necessary permission from Real Estate Regulation Authority, the petitioner sold his land to various individuals. However, individual patta has not been issued in favour of the purchasers. Therefore, the petitioner and five others submitted a representation dated 31.09.2024 seeking issuance of patta in favour of the individual purchasers. In this regard, the second respondent initiated an enquiry in his proceedings in Na.Ka.C1/15496/2024, dated 10.10.2024. The petitioner has been called for an enquiry on 18.10.2022. Though enquiry was initiated as early as October 2024, till date, the same has not been completed and no final order has been passed. Hence, the petitioner has come before this Court with the above mentioned prayer.
4.The learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents would submit that the enquiry initiated by the second respondent will be completed within a period stipulated by this Court. 5.In view of the submission made by the learned Government Advocate, this Court, without going into the merits of the claim made by
the petitioner, is inclined to direct the second respondent to complete the enquiry initiated by him in his proceedings in Na.Ka.C1/15496/2024 and pass final orders within a period twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. Accordingly, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
