This criminal original petition has been filed for quashing the FIR in Crime No.314 of 2021 registered on the file of the first respondent.

2.Mathi is the defacto complainant. The victim is one Dhanapakkiyam. Mathi as well as Dhanapakkiyam are present before this Court in person. They were duly identified Mr.D.Lawrence, Sub Inspector of Police attached to Vaiyampatti Police Station. The victim as well as the defacto complainant do not have objection for quashing the impugned FIR. A joint memo of compromise has also been filed. When the parties have arrived at an amicable settlement and the victim does not want to pursue the complaint, no purpose will be served in keeping the impugned prosecution alive. Crl.O.P(MD)No.12685 of 2021 of justice, the impugned FIR is quashed and the criminal original petition is allowed.
