Respondents Prayer : Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus to direct the respondents to secure the "Panjami Lands" in S.Nos.495, 496, 497/3, 608, 609 situated at Sanamangalam Village, Lalgudi Taluk, Trichy District from the encroachers, remove the encroachment and disburse them to the Adi Dravidar (Scheduled Caste) Community people by considering the petitioner's representation dated 04.06.2017.

(Order of the Court was made by G.R.SWAMINATHAN, J.) The allegation made by the writ petitioner is that Panchami Lands meant for Scheduled Caste persons in Sanamangalam Village, Lalgudi Taluk, Trichy District are under the occupation of third party encroachers. The writ petitioner therefore wanted the authorities to intervene in the matter.

writ petition. Since the issue relates to restoration of Panchami Lands it is only fit and proper that the first respondent enquires into it. The first respondent is directed to pass orders on the writ petitioner's representation dated 04.06.2017 and take action in accordance with law within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 3.This writ petition is disposed of with the above direction. No costs.
