[Order of the Court was made by M.M.SUNDRESH,J.] The Writ Petitioner being a villager made a representation on 19.07.2017, inter alia alleging that at the instance of the respondent No.5, who was the Panchayat President at the relevant https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

point of time, number of illegal water connections have been given without following the due procedure and affecting the public interest including the other villagers and the local body. Seeking consideration of the aforesaid representation, the present Writ Petition has been filed.

2. Taking note of the above facts, without going into the merits of the case, we direct the respondent No.3 to consider the representation of the petitioner, dated 19.07.2017 and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, after affording an opportunity of hearing.

3. The Writ Petition is disposed of with the above direction. No costs.
