This Writ Petition has been filed to direct the respondents to remove the petitioner's name from History Sheet in H.S.No.637/2015 by considering the petitioner's representation dated 03.10.2020.

2. The case of the petitioner is that he is a social activist and number of false cases have been foisted against him, based on which, History Sheet was opened in 2015. He sent a letter on 17.07.2019, seeking information about the History sheet under RTI Act. Only from the information furnished under RTI Act, he came to understand that History Sheet was opened against him. Hence, he sent a representation to the respondent police on 03.10.2020. As there was no action on the part of the respondent police, the present Writ Petition came to be filed. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ 1/2

W.P.(MD)No.14081 of 2021 3.The learned Additional Public Prosecutor would submit that the petitioner is involved in seven previous cases and he is continuously engaged in criminal offences. Only for the purpose of making surveillance, History Sheet is maintained. He would submit that the representation sent by the petitioner will be considered on merits.

4.Considering the limited prayer sought for by the petitioner, there shall be a direction to the second respondent to consider the representation and pass orders on merits within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5.With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
