ORDER

This writ petition has been filed seeking Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents herein to approve forthwith the promotion of P.Palanikumar from the post of Lab Assistant to Junior Assistant in the petitioner's college and to disburse the grant-in-aid towards his salary w.e.f. 01.07.2025 with all attendant benefits. 2/6

2. Heard Mrs.Amala, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.N.Satheesh Kumar, learned Additional Government Pleader for the respondents and with the consent of both the parties, this writ petition is disposed of at the admission stage.

3. Admittedly, the proposal that was submitted by the petitioner is early as on 17.09.2025 seeking approval for the promotion of one Mr.P.Palani Kumar from the post of Lab Assistant to the post of Junior Assistant in the petitioner-college is pending for consideration, in spite of submitting a reminder on 09.01.2026.

4. Mr.Satheesh Kumar, learned Additional Government Pleader, on instructions, submits that the proposal is still pending and appropriate orders would be passed by the 4th respondent within a period of four (4) weeks from today.

5. The learned counsel for the petitioner also submits that the issue as to approval of the promotion in question is squarely covered 3/6

by an order dated 12.03.2025 passed by this Court in W.P.(MD)No.6605 of 2025.

6. Be that as it may, this Court without going into the merits of the matter inclined to dispose of the writ petition, directing the respondent No.4 to consider the proposal submitted by the petitioner, as expeditiously.

7. Accordingly, this writ petition is disposed of, directing the 4th respondent to consider the proposal dated 17.09.2025 submitted by the petitioner and pass appropriate orders thereon on its own merits as expeditiously as possible, at any rate within a period of four (4) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
