O R D E R
[Order of the Court was made by G.R.SWAMINATHAN, J.] This writ petition has been filed in public interest. The grievance of the writ petitioner is that even though Kariapatti is https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
an important place, the buses plying from Madurai to Tuticorin and other places are not operating via Kariapatti. As a result, the people of Kariyapatti and the surrounding villages are put to great hardship. They have been demanding transport facilites. They want buses to operate via Kariapatti. The respondents have not been taking any action. The writ petitioner has given representation in this regard on 21.12.2016.
2.The learned standing counsel for the Transport Corporation filed the circular dated 27.07.2017 informing that instructions have been given to halt at Valayankulam bus stand. But stopping the buses at Valayankulam will not redress the concerns voiced in this writ petition. This Court therefore directs the second and third respondents to consider the representation dated 21.12.2016 and pass appropriate orders in accordance with law within a period of eight weeks form the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
3.This writ petition is disposed of with the above direction. No costs. Consequently, connected W.M.P(MD)No.11364 of 2017 is closed.
