: Respondents PRAYER: Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents 1 and 2 herein to consider the petitioner's representation dated 05.06.2017 to forthwith permit the petitioner and his family members in their individual capacity to worship their family deity A/m.Koppudaiyamman in Sri Koppudaiyamman Temple, situated in Konapattu Village, Konapattu Circle, Thirumayam Taluk, Pudukkottai District, for cooking pongal and sacrificing animals as per their family customs.

This writ petition is filed seeking for the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents 1 and 2 herein to consider the petitioner's representation dated 05.06.2017 to forthwith permit the petitioner and his family members in their individual capacity to worship their family deity A/m.Koppudaiyamman in Sri Koppudaiyamman Temple, situated in Konapattu Village, Konapattu Circle, Thirumayam Taluk, Pudukkottai District, for cooking pongal and sacrificing animals as per their family customs. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
2.Mr.G.Muthukannan, learned Government Advocate takes notice for the first respondent. Mr.G.Mathavan, learned counsel takes notice for the second respondent. By consent, this Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself. 3.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that it would suffice if a direction is issued to the second respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner, dated 05.06.2017.
4.Considering the limited scope of the prayer sought for by the petitioner, this Court, without going into the merits of the matter, directs the second respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 05.06.2017 and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law, after providing opportunity to all necessary parties, as expeditiously as possible, preferably, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
5.With the above direction, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs.
