Prayer : Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the official respondents to ensure that the festival will be conducted after changing the officer bearers, collecting Thalaikattu Vari from petitioner's vagayara and allowing them to participate in the "Kalari Kumbida Thiruvizha" to be held on 02.06.2023 to 04.06.2023 and 11.06.2023 at Arulmigu Sri Veerathummulammal - Sri Venkadajalapathy Temple at Melapatti Road, Perayur Town which is Kuladeivam of the petitioner and his 850 Pangaligal (ie) Thelungu Visvakarma 1/4

ORDER

The grievance of the petitioner is that he is not allowed to participate in the "Kalari Kumbida Thiruvizha" to be held on 02.06.2023 to 04.06.2023 and 11.06.2023 at Arulmigu Sri Veerathummulammal - Sri Venkadajalapathy Temple at Melapatti Road, Perayur Town.

2. Though the petitioner has sought for a direction to the official respondents to ensure that the festival will be conducted after changing the office bearers collecting Thalaikattu Vari from the petitioner's vagayara, the learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that he is not pressing that portion of the prayer.

3. In connection with the request for allowing him to participate in the festival, he had made a representation on 16.05.2023 before the respondents 1 2/4

and 2 herein. This Court is of the view that the respondents can be called upon to conduct an enquiry based on the petitioner's representation after giving due opportunity to all the parties. Since the festival is to commence on 02.06.2023, the first respondent shall consider the petitioner's representation dated 16.05.2023 and conclude the same preferably on or before 02.06.2023.

4. The Writ Petition stands disposed of accordingly. No costs.
