ORDER

Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents.

2.The petitioner is said to be a document writer. He states that the respondents are compelling him to give a statement against the accused in Crime No.11 of 2019 registered on the file of the second respondent. The petitioner would further allege that in the event of his failure to give such a statement, he will be implicated in the said case. Therefore, this criminal original petition came to be filed.

3.The learned Additional Public Prosecutor states that there is no proposal to include the petitioner in the said FIR. The petitioner has been summoned only as witness. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ 1/2

Crl.O.P.(MD)No.11268 of 2020 4.I make it clear that the respondents will not compel the petitioner to give any statement in any particular manner. Secondly, the petitioner will be summoned only in writing and the petitioner will not be orally summoned to the office of the second respondent. 5.With this direction and recording the submission of the learned Additional Public Prosecutor, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
