ORDER

The petitioner herein seeks a direction to the second respondent to rectify the mistakes in UDR Survey in respect of the land situated in Survey Nos. 124/3, 125/2, 125/4, 263/2 & 261/9, by considering the representation submitted by the petitioner dated 04.04.2025.

According to the petitioner, the property situated in the above mentioned survey numbers are the family properties of the petitioner and during the UDR survey, the patta for the entire property was issued in the name of the petitioner's brother Ganesan @ Ganesha Pandiya Thevar, by excluding the other legal heirs of the petitioner's father Ponniya Thevar. Therefore, the petitioner submitted a representation on 30.04.2025, seeking rectification of erroneous entry in the UDR records by including the names of the legal heirs of the petitioner's father. The same was not considered. Hence the petitioner has come with this writ petition.

3. Mr.A.Baskaran, learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for respondents 1 to 3 would submit that based on the representation submitted by the petitioner, the second respondent fixed preliminary enquiry on 10.07.2025 and issued notice to the petitioner.

In view of the submission made by the learned Additional Government Pleader, the second respondent is directed to complete the enquiry and pass final orders on its own merits within a period of twelve(12) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, after giving sufficient opportunity to the petitioner and his brother namely Ganesan @ Ganesha Pandia Thevar mentioned in the representation and other interested parties.
