ORDER
The prayer in this writ petition is for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondent to call the petitioner for Physical Fitness Test to be held on 05.08.2017 and subsequent interview in the category of Sports Quota [Men] and appoint him, if he is eligible for the post of Grade - II Police Constable or Grade - II Jail Warder or Fireman in the common recruitment of 15664 posts of Grade - II Police Constable (Men and Women], Grade - II Jail Warder [Men and Women] and Fireman - 2017, with consequential benefits, within a time limit that may be stipulated by this Court.

2.When the matter was taken up for hearing on 04.08.2017, this Court keeping in mind the fact that the petitioner has secured 44 marks, which is higher than the cut-off marks, viz., 28 marks prescribed for Sports Persons, directed the respondent to permit the petitioner to participate in the physical fitness test held on 05.08.2017, subject to the result of the writ petition. 3.Today, when the matter is taken up for hearing, the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondent jointly made a statement that the petitioner was declared as eligible candidate in all the tests, viz., written test, physical measurement test and physical efficiency test etc.
4.Recording the aforementioned joint statement, the respondent is directed to issue appointment order to the petitioner. The writ petition is disposed of accordingly. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
