PRAYER: Criminal Original Petition is filed under Section 528 of BNSS Act, to call for the records and quash the proceedings in Spl.S.C.No.4 of 2026, on the file of the Mahila Court, Pudukottai.

ORDER

The present petition has been filed by the accused persons in Spl.S.C.No. 4 of 2026, on the file of the Mahila Court, Pudukottai, seeking to quash the charge sheet wherein the petitioners are charged with the offences under Sections 5(l), 5(j) (ii), 6(1), 17, 21(1) and 5(n) of POCSO Act.

2. The date of birth of the victim girl is 31.08.2007. She had attained majority on 31.08.2025. After attaining majority, she had married the first accused on 08.05.2026 and the marriage has been registered on 11.05.2026 before the Sub-Registrar's Office, Keeramangalam.

3. Pending trial, the parties have entered into a compromise wherein the defacto complainant had agreed for quashing of the charge sheet. 2/5

4. Today, the defacto complainant is present in-person and she acknowledges the fact that she had agreed for quashing of the charge sheet.

5. Considering the above said facts, charge sheet in Spl.S.C.No.4 of 2026, on the file of the learned Mahila Court, Pudukottai, is hereby quashed.

6. Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition stands allowed. The joint compromise memo shall form part and parcel of the order. 22.06.2026 NCC : Yes/No Index : Yes/No Internet: Yes/No am 3/5
