This Writ Petition has been filed for issuing direction to the respondents to grant permission to perform the programme of Adal Padal Programe on 24.06.2023 night at about 6.00 pm 11.00 pm at Duaiur Taluk, Keeraambur Post, Keeraambur Village, Arulmigu Sri Maha Mari Amman Temple, Trichy District and to provide adequate police protection based on the petitioner's representation, dated 20.05.2023.

2. Mr.B. Nambiselvan, learned Additional Public Prosecutor takes notice for the respondents.

3.Heard both sides.

4. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents police submitted that on 17.06.2023 temple festival was conducted in the nearby village and at that time there was a trouble 2/5

created by some of the persons, over which, assault was made and damage was also caused to the public properties. So, on that account FIR was registered in Crime No.226 of 2023 on 19.06.2023. In view of the above said issue, the representation made by the petitioner came to be rejected.

5. In view of the said submission, I find no reason to entertain this petition. Since the similar occurrence may occur in the event of celebration of the temple festival, the respondents police is directed to reject the representation of the petitioner immediately by citing the above said reason.

6. With the above observation, this Writ Petition is dismissed. No costs.
