ORDER
The petitioner herein seeks a direction to the respondents 1 to 4 to conclude the enquiry initiated by the second respondent in his proceedings Na.Ka.No.6430/2023/A12, within a reasonable time.
2. Heard the arguments of Mr.J.Senthil Kumar learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mrs.K.Malathi, learned Additional Government Pleader, who takes notice on behalf of the respondents.
3. By consent of both sides, this Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.
4. It is the case of the petitioner that he purchased 73 cents of land from one Alagirimathiri situated in S.No.1509/1A and 1509/1C, Veerapandi Village, Theni Taluk, Theni District. The Sub Registrar of
Theni treated the land situated in S.No.1509/1A as Panchami land. Therefore, the petitioner submitted an application requesting certificate that the property situated in S.Nos.1509/1A and 1509/1C were not panchami lands. Based on the representation submitted by the petitioner, the second respondent in his proceedings Na.Ka.No.6430/2023/A12, dated 26.10.2023, initiated an enquiry and the same is still pending. Therefore, the petitioner has come before this Court seeking direction to conclude the enquiry within a reasonable time.
5. Mrs.K.Malathi, learned Additional Government Pleader, who takes notice on behalf of the respondents, would submit that enquiry will be concluded and final orders will be passed, within a time stipulated by this Court.
6. In view of the same, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the matter, this Court directs the second respondent to conclude the enquiry initiated by him in Na.Ka.No.6430/2023/A12 dated 26.10.2023 and pass final orders on its own merits, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
