PRAYER: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the Respondents 1 to 3 to provide adequate Police protection to the petitioner, his persons, Devotees, and land the Temple of Arulmighu Vanadurgai Amman at T.Mettupatti, Theni District based on the complaint dated 03.12.2024 and 22.01.2025.

Seeking police protection to the petitioner, his persons, Devotees, and the land belonging to Arulmighu Vanadurgai Amman at T.Mettupatti, Theni District, the petitioner has approached this Court.
2.Today(03.06.2025), when this writ petition is taken up for admission, the learned Government Advocate appearing for the official respondents submits that there is a dispute between two groups with regard to the right over the above mentioned temple. Considering the issue, this matter has been referred by the 2/5
respondent police to the Tahsildar, Uthamapalayam Taluk and it is now pending with the Tahsildar.
3.Recording the aforesaid submission made by the learned Government Advocate appearing for the official respondents, this Writ Petition is closed with liberty to the petitioner to work out his remedy before the Tahsildar, Uthamapalayam. No costs.
