When the matter is taken up for hearing, the learned counsel appearing for the petitioners would submit that since the investigation has already been transferred to the Deputy Superintendent of Police, Kodaikanal, the matter has now become infructuous. The petitioners are making allegations against the then Inspector of Police, Kodaikanal Police Station, who was investigating the matter.
