Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issuance of a writ of Mandamus directing the second respondent to issue Patta for the property admeasuring 1640 Sq.ft. situated at Natham Survey No.42A/1, East Car Street, Vilathikulam Taluk, Tuticorin on the basis of the representation made by this petitioner to the respondents dated 13.10.2016, within stipulated time.

ORDER
The petition is filed for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus Mandamus directing the second respondent to issue Patta for the property admeasuring 1640 Sq.ft. situated at Natham Survey No.42A/1, East Car Street, Vilathikulam Taluk, Tuticorin on the basis of the representation made by this petitioner to the respondents dated 13.10.2016, within stipulated time. 2.Mr.C.Selvaraj, learned Special Government Pleader takes notice for the respondents. By consent of both parties the writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

3. The case of the petitioner is that she purchased 1460 Sq.Ft in Natham Survey No.24 A1 by registered sale deed dated 26.12.1994. Thereafter, she had put up construction and living in the property. The petitioner also pays house tax regularly. However, patta was not issued in her favour, despite so many representations. Finally on 13.10.2016, the petitioner sent a representation to the respondents 1 and 2 by register post. Even then no favourable order was passed. Hence, the present writ petition has been filed.
4.Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Special Government Pleader for the respondents.

Considering the limited scope of the prayer sought for in this writ petition, this Court without going into the merits of the case, directs the second respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 13.10.2016 and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law, after providing opportunity to the necessary parties, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order. 6.With the above direction, the Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
