ORDER

The prayer in the writ petition is for issuance of a Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus, calling for the records pertaining to the disqualification slip issued by the 2nd respondent in C.No.R2/150/2017, dated 28.07.2017 to quash the same and consequently direct the respondents to permit the petitioner participate in the further physical tests to be conducted from https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

05.08.2017 for the common recruitment for the posts of Grade-II Police Constable, Grade-II Jail Warder and Fireman-2017 in Thoothukudi Centre.

2.The impugned order has been questioned on the ground that during physical efficiency test, the petitioner's height had not been measured properly, therefore, the impugned order is liable to be set aside.

3.Considering the said submission, this Court directed the learned Additional Advocate General to produce the videographs taken during selection to the aforementioned posts. 4.Today, when the matter was taken up for hearing, the videogrpahs in respect of height measurement of the petitioner has been displayed before this Court in the presence of the petitioner and his counsel. The video clipping/recording shows that the petitioner has failed to possess minimum 170 cms of height, whereas his height is 169.0 cms, hence, this Court is not inclined to entertain the prayer of the petitioner. Accordingly, this Writ Petition fails and the same is dismissed. No costs.
