ORDER

This petition is filed for issuance of a Writ of Declaration, declaring the cancellation of election of Sourashtra College Council, Madurai (Registration No.133/1996) notice dated 12.06.2017 issued by the 2nd respondent and published on 13.06.2017 on Daily News paper as illegal and consequently direct the respondents to conduct election on 25.06.2017 or on some other date to Sourashtra College Council, Madurai (Registration No.133/1996) as per schedule notified in the election notification dated 29.05.2017 with the final list of candidate finalized as on 08.06.2017 and to ensure free and fair election. 2.Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the respondents.

3.It is represented by the learned counsel for the respondents that on 06.08.2017 in the General Body Meeting it was decided to conduct election on 24.09.2017 and Mr.S.S.Manoharan also appointed as Election Officer.

4.In view of the above submission, this Writ petition is dismissed as infractuous. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petitions are closed. No costs.
