ORDER

This criminal original petition has been filed seeking to quash the FIR in Crime No.178 of 2018, on the file of the first respondent. 2.The case of the prosecution is that on 11.03.2018, the accused persons sat in front of the Geethalaya Theatre, Sankarankovil, the second respondent police questioned the same. But, the accused persons abused him with filthy language and threatened with dire consequences. Hence the complaint. 3.The learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) submitted that based on the complaint lodged by the second respondent, a case has been registered in Crime No.178 of 2018 for the offences under Sections294(b), 353 and 506(2) IPC. After investigation, charge sheet has been filed on 16.04.2022, before the learned Judicial Magistrate, Sankarankoil and the same is not taken on file.

4.In view of the above, the FIR in Crime No.178 of 2018 cannot be quashed at this stage. Hence, this criminal original petition stands dismissed. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed. 01.07.2022 Internet:Yes Index:Yes/No Speaking/Non speaking order lr 3/4
