ORDER

This Writ Petition is filed for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to remove the petitioner's name from the History Sheet maintained at the second respondent police.

2.Heard the learned Counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents.

3.Though the Writ Petition is filed for issuing positive direction to the respondents, the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner now states before this Court that the petitioner will be satisfied, if a direction is issued to the first respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 11.07.2017.

4.Considering the limited scope of the prayer that is now sought by the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner before this Court, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, this Court is inclined to pass the following direction: The first respondent is directed to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 11.07.2017 and dispose of the same on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this Court.

5.With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
