Respondents Prayer: Writ petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the first respondent to take appropriate action upon his representation dated 18.03.2020, 27.08.2020 and 01.10.2020 against Mr.Kalimuthu, Sub Inspector of Police to return back his original driving licence which was taken by him on 16.03.2020.

O R D E R
Heard the learned counsel on either side.
2. The petitioner claims that Thiru.Kalimuthu, Inspector of Police, had taken his original driving licence and refused him to return the same.
3.Today, when the matter was taken up for hearing, the learned Government Advocate, on instructions, would submit that Thiru.Kalimuthu makes a firm statement that he has not taken the original driving licence of the petitioner.
4.If that be so, the petitioner is directed to give a missing complaint to the second respondent. The second respondent will hold a quick enquiry and issue non-traceable certificate to the https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ 1/2
W.P.(MD)NO.14237 of 2020 petitioner and based on the same, the said Kalimuthu, Sub Inspector of Police would endeavour to secure the duplicate driving licence for the petitioner.
5.I make it clear that this order does not cause any aspersion of Thiru.Kalimuthu. I am passing this order based on the gracious and fair offer made by Thiru.Kalimuthu. Since Kalimuthu's son's marriage to be held on next week, he may take up this work after 28.10.2020. The petitioner is giving a missing complaint based on the direction of this Court. Therefore, the petitioner will not be put to any kind of embarrassment.
6.With the above direction, this Writ petition stands disposed of. No costs.
