O R D E R
(Order of the Court was made by R.Vijayakumar, J.) The present Review Application has been filed by the appellant in W.A.(MD)No.1578 of 2019 seeking to review the order dated 17.06.2021.
2. The applicant herein, who claims to be in possession of S.No.165/1 in Narasingampuram Village, Aathur Taluk, Dindigul District, for over 50 years, has made a request for grant of patta for the above said land. Since the request was not considered, he had filed W.P. (MD)No.23026 of 2019 seeking a mandamus for grant of patta. The said Writ Petition came to be dismissed on 01.11.2019. 2/5
3. Challenging the said order, the petitioner has preferred W.A.(MD)No.1578 of 2019. A co-ordinate Bench of this Court, after recording a finding that the above said survey number is a water body and the land appurtenant to the water body is also a Government land, which is maintained by the Dindigul Municipal Corporation, has proceeded to dismiss the Writ Appeal, primarily on the ground that the the petitioner does not have any right to make a claim to grant patta.
4. According to the review applicant, he is in possession of the said property for more than 50 years. No grounds have been made out to entertain the Review Application.
5. We are not inclined to entertain the review application. Accordingly, this Review Application stands dismissed. It is for the petitioner to workout his remedy before the appropriate forum, if he so advised. There shall be no order as to costs. (C.V.K., J.) (R.V., J.) 15.10.2025 Index : Yes / No 3/5
