ORDER

This petition has been filed seeking a direction to the second respondent to complete the investigation in Crime No.61 of 2021 on the file of the second respondent police and to file the final report before the learned Jurisdictional Magistrate Court within a stipulated time that may be fixed by this Court.

2. The petitioner is the defacto complainant. Based upon his complaint, a case in Crime No.61 of 2021 has been registered for the offences punishable under Sections 294(b), 381, 406, 420, 465, 467, 468, 471, 120-B and 506(i) IPC. The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that even after lapse of seven months, there is no progress in the investigation. Hence, this petition.

3. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor would submit that investigation has been undertaken and they will complete the investigation within a period of three months and will file a final report before the concerned court.

4. Considering the request made by the learned Additional Public Prosecutor, there shall be a direction to the second respondent to complete the investigation and file a find report within a period of 3 months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. After filing final report before the concerned court, compliance report shall be sent to the Registry.
