Respondents PRAYER : Criminal Original Petition is filed under Section 482 of Cr.P.C, to direct the respondents not to harass the petitioner, her family members and her relative namely Shanthi without any legally sustainable complaint and to direct the respondents to follow the guideline issued by the Hon'ble Supreme Court in D.K.Basu (1997 1 SCC 5416) case in matters pertaining to arrest or interrogation within the time period stipulated by this Court. 2. When the matter is taken up for hearing, the learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner is not involved in the alleged crime against one Vasanthi, Inspector of 1/3

Police, attached to Nagamalai Pudukkottai Police Station, Madurai.

3. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor would submit that only to watch out the movements of the said Inspector of Police, regular visits have been made to the house of the petitioner and except that, there is no harassment on the part of the police officials. She is also stated to be absconding. But however, the husband of the petitioner has been arrested and remanded to judicial custody in the aforesaid case. Since the husband of the petitioner is arrested, there is no question of harassment by the police.

4. Recording the submission of the learned Additional Public Prosecutor, this petition is disposed of.
