ORDER

The present Writ Petition has been filed for the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, to direct the respondent to consider and dispose of the petitioner's application dated 02.03.2026 seeking issuance of separate patta in the name of the petitioner by effecting necessary sub-division in respect of the 'A' Schedule properties allotted to the petitioner's father under the registered partition deed dated 25.08.1995 within a time frame to be fixed by this Court and consequently, issue separate patta in the name of the petitioner.

2. The petitioner is claiming right over the subject properties. Originally, the properties belonged to the petitioner's great-grandfather, namely Maruthai, who had three sons, namely Vallan, Palaniyandi, and Sarabathi. The said Vallan had only one son, namely Maruthai, who is the petitioner's father. The petitioner is the son of the said Maruthai. After the demise of the petitioner's greatgrandfather, his three sons executed a registered partition deed dated 25.08.1995 vide Document No. 1510 of 1995, under which the 'A' Schedule property was allotted to the petitioner's father. After the demise of the petitioner's father, the petitioner, being the sole legal heir, inherited the said property. Hence, the petitioner seeks issuance of a separate patta in his name. The petitioner has also submitted the death certificate, legal heir certificate, and other relevant documents 2/4

before the respondent. Hence, the petitioner is seeking to issue a separate patta in his name.

3. In view of the above, this Court is directing the respondent to consider the petitioner's application dated 02.03.2026, in the light of the above documents, and pass appropriate orders within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

4. With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
