ORDER
This writ petition has been filed seeking Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to delete petitioner's absence from duty on 05.03.2026 to 17.03.2026 in total 13 days and to take the same as medical /Earned leave and further to give the salary for the above said period to the petitioner on the basis of petitioner's representation dated 18.03.2026.
2. Heard Mr.K.Gokul, learned counsel for petitioner and Mr.S.C.Herold Singh, learned counsel for the respondent Corporation and with the consent of both the parties this writ petition is disposed of at the admission stage.

3. The petitioner herein, who is working as a Driver-cumConductor, remained absent from his duties from 05.03.2026 to 17.03.2026, that is for a period of 13 days. According to the petitioner, due to emergency medical conditions, he could not attend his duties and therefore, he submitted a representation dated 18.03.2026 requesting for grant of medical leave. But the said representation of the petitioner, dated 18.03.2026 has not been considered by the respondents, hence the petitioner approached this Court by filing the present writ petition.
4. Mr.S.C.Herold Singh, learned Standing Counsel appearing for the Respondent Corporation submits that the petitioner was unauthorisedly absent from 05.03.2026 to 17.03.2026 and therefore, appropriate action is being initiated against the petitioner.
5. Be that as it may, the fact remains that the representation dated 18.03.2026 submitted by the petitioner for grant of medical leave is 3/6
still pending for consideration before the respondent Corporation. In case, if the same is considered positively, the question of taking any disciplinary action does not arise. Therefore, before initiating any disciplinary proceedings against the petitioner, it would be appropriate for the respondent Corporation to consider the representation, dated 18.03.2026 submitted by the petitioner.

In the light of the above, this Court without going into the merits of the matter, this writ petition is disposed of directing the second respondent to consider the representation, dated 18.03.2026 submitted by the petitioner and pass appropriate orders thereon, as expeditiously as possible, at any rate within a period of four (4) weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order. No costs.
