O R D E R

This writ petition has been filed, seeking to direct the 1st Respondent to issue a passport to the petitioner by considering his passport application vide File No.MD2060262616117 dated 22.05.2017.

2. Heard the learned counsel on either side.

3. The case of the petitioner is that since he has been seeking a job abroad, he has applied for passport on 18.05.2017 and though his application was accepted, pursuant to implication of his name in a criminal case, he has not been issued with a passport till now, despite the fact that he has offered his https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

explanation by appearing before the 1st respondent. Finding no other efficacious remedy, the petitioner has filed this petition with the above prayer.

Considering the facts and circumstance of the case and also taking into account the limited scope of the relief sought for by the petitioner, this Court, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the matters, directs the first respondent to consider the application of the petitioner pending in File No. MD2060262616117 dated 22.05.2017 and take a decision in one way or the other on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5. With the above direction, this petition is disposed of. No costs.
