ORDER

Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for R1 and R2. 2.The petitioner is employed as superintendent in Employees's State Insurance Dispensary, Nagercoil. The third respondent is a staff nurse working under the petitioner. The petitioner alleges harassment at the hands of the third respondent and her husband. They are said to constantly threaten the petitioner. The petitioner, therefore, wants this Court to provide him police protection, so that, he can discharge his duties as Superintendent in E.S.I Dispensary.

3.Nothing can be more laughable than this prayer. The petitioner has to move his superior authorities and obtain relief. It is not the job of the police to ensure stress-free work environment to the petitioner. Be that as it may, the petitioner has given a complaint before the second respondent. It is the duty of the second respondent to enquire into the same.

4. I am of the view that interest of justice will be served by issuing the following direction:- https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ 1/4

Crl.O.P.(MD)No.11258 of 2020 The second respondent is directed to conclude the enquiry within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. If cognizable offence is made out, FIR must be registered and action taken.

5.With this direction, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
