ORDER
[Order of the Court was made by R.SUBBIAH, J] This Habeas Corpus Petition has been filed by the petitioner to produce his wife, namely, Thaslima Nazreen, aged about 21 years.
2. It is the case of the petitioner that he belongs to Hindu Religion and the detenu belong to Muslim Religion and both fell in love with each other and on 17.06.2018, the petitioner married the detenu at Samayapuram Mariamman Koil without the knowledge of their family members. After marriage, they lived separately in their respective houses. When the detenu's mother came to know about their marriage, she invited the petitioner and insisted him to convert to Muslim community. The petitioner also agreed to convert himself to Muslim community. In the meantime, the fourth respondent Mother of the detenu was making arrangements for another marriage to https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
the detenu. Therefore, the petitioner has given a representation to the respondent police on 12.11.2018. Since no effective steps were taken, the petitioner is before this Court with this petition. 3.Today, when the matter is taken up for hearing, the detenu has been produced by the respondent police. On enquiry, she has stated that she is with her mother/fourth respondent and she is not in the illegal custody of anyone. She has further stated that this petition has been filed with false averments. 4 In view of the said submission made by the detenu, we are of the view that nothing survives for adjudication in this petition. Accordingly, this petition is closed.
