The Writ Petition has been filed in the nature of a Mandamus seeking a direction to the second respondent, District Revenue Officer, Virudhunagar, to provide a number and dispose of the appeal filed by the petitioner on 27.01.2023.

2.Heard Mr.L.Prabhu, learned Counsel for the petitioner and Mr.J.Ashok, learned Additional Government Pleader for the respondents. 3.A direction is given to the second respondent to examine the petition given by the petitioner and see whether it is in proper form. If it 2/5

is in proper form, a number must be assigned and necessary procedure must be initiated to hear it on merits. If it is not in proper form, a notice may be issued to the petitioner, who may comply with the requirements. After the requirements are completed, then the appeal may be taken up for hearing and endeavour may be made to dispose it of on or before 31.10.2023.
