Prayer : Criminal Original Petition filed under Section 528 of BNSS, to direct the respondents 1 to 3/police authorities to give adequate police protection to the petitioner's life and limb. For Petitioner : Mr.A.K.Nagarajan For Respondents 1 to 3 : Mr.P.Kottaichamy Government Advocate(Crl.side)

O R D E R

Seeking police protection, the petitioner has approached this Court.

2.Mr.P.Kottaichamy, learned Government Advocate (Crl.side) takes notice for the respondents 1 to 3, on instructions submits that this petitioner has lodged a complaint in the month of January 2025 and the same was treated as a petition enquiry in CSR No.21 of 2025. The respondents 4 to 9 have lodged a complaint as against this petitioner, which was also treated as petition enquiry in CSR No.23 of 2025 and both the complaints were closed, as it was reported that both the parties have amicably settled the issue. The petitioner has lodged another complaint on the same issue before the Superintendent of Police on 09.04.2025 and also moved this petition, seeking police protection. 2/5

3.The learned Senior Counsel appearing for the petitioner submits that there is a life threat to the petitioner and therefore, the petitioner has lodged complaints. However, the respondent police are not giving any importance to his complaints.

4.This Court considered the rival submissions made and also perused the materials placed on record.

5.It appears that the petitioner has lodged complaint that he is facing life threat. In the event, if really the petitioner is facing life threat at the hands of the private respondents, the respondent police shall look into the matter and take appropriate action. The respondent police is duty bound to ensure that every citizen of this country live peacefully without any threat.

6. With such observation and direction, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
