O R D E R

This writ petition has been filed, seeking a direction to the respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 04.08.2017 for grant of sand quarry lease in the patta land in Survey Nos.51/4, 5A, 52/1, 54/1, 54/2, 58/2, 58/3A, 58/3A and 60/1A over an extent of 3.38 Hectares in Chinnapallipalayam Village, Thottiyam Taluk, Tiruchirappalli District in the light of the order of this Court dated 08.01.2003 made in W.P.No.646 of 2003.

2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondent.

The case of the petitioner is that the representation dated 04.08.2017 given by him to the respondent for grant of sand quarry lease in the patta land, did not evoke any response so far and pursuant to the inaction on the part of the respondent, the petitioner is before this Court with the above prayer. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

4. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case and also considering the limited scope of the prayer sought for in

this petition, this Court, without going into the merits of the matter, directs the respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 04.08.2017 in respect of sand quarry lease and dispose of the same in one way or the other, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, after affording due opportunity of hearing to the petitioner.

5. With the above direction, this petition is disposed of. No costs.
