ORDER

The petitioner, a victim in Crime No. 3 of 2023, has filed this petition that the properties, which are identified as crime properties, have not been attached so far.

2. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor, on instructions, submits that the properties mentioned by the petitioner have already been identified as crime properties and a proposal has been sent by the Investigating Officer for interim attachment to the Additional Director General of Police, who in turn forwarded the proposal to the Government and the proposal is lying with the Home Department.

3. In view of the said submission, this Court suo motu impleads the Secretary to the Government, Home Department, Secretariat, Chennai, as a party to this writ petition and directed the learned Special Government Pleader to take notice for the newly impleaded respondent. 3/6

4. Accordingly, this Writ Petition is closed with a direction to the Secretary to the Government, Home Department, to take a call on the proposal made by the Investigating Officer, which was forwarded by the Additional Director General of Police, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
