This Writ petition is filed for issuing a Writ of Mandamus seeking a direction to the respondents to permit the petitioner to conduct the Vada Maadu Manchu Virattu scheduled on 14.08.2017 at Periyakiluvichi, Paruthikanmai Post, Kalaiyarkovil Taluk, Sivagangai District by the considering the petitioner's representation, dated 27.07.2017.

2. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents.

3. The petitioner has proposed to conduct the programme on 14.08.2017. Considering the fact that the petitioner's grievance

to change the date of programme and other circumstances this Court has no other option, but to pass the following order: "The District Collector, Sivagangai District is directed to consider the petitioner's representation dated 27.07.2017 and pass appropriate orders by considering the relevant rules and norms on or before 13.08.2017."

4. With the above direction, the Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.

5. The petitioner shall pay a cost of Rs.2,000/-(Rupees Two Thousand only) to the credit of the Hon'ble Chief Justice Relief Fund, Madurai Bench of Madras High Court, Madurai, by today before 4.30 p.m, failing which, the order copy shall not be furnished today.
