By consent of both sides, this writ petition itself is taken up for final disposal.
2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned standing counsel, who takes notice for the respondents.
3. The petitioner has come to this Court seeking a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondent to provide electricity service connection to the petitioner's house situated at No.511-E, Opp to Office of Municipality, Palani Road, Oddanchathiram, Dindigul District. It is stated that when the petitioner has sought for Electricity Service Connection to his house, he has been driven from pillar to post. Finally, till date, the respondent has not come forward to consider the petitioner's application. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
4. In reply, the learned counsel for the respondent Board submitted that except the representation, dated 17.06.2017, a copy
of the application, dated 05.06.2017, which has been filed before the Electricity Board, has not been enclosed, which shows that the petitioner has not made any proper application.
5. However, the learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the representation itself can be taken up for consideration.
6. In view of the above, the petitioner is directed to submit a fresh representation, along with necessary documents with proof of payment of the charges payable by the petitioner for Electricity Service Connection, within one week from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and on receipt of the same, it is for the respondents to consider the same on merits and in accordance with law within a period of two weeks thereafter. 7.The writ petition is disposed of with the above direction. No costs.
