ORDER
This writ petition has been filed seeking issuance of a writ of Mandamus, to direct the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation, dated 06.07.2017 for grant of his service and retiral benefits to a sum of Rs.5,24,244/- as admitted in the audit report, within the time frame fixed by this Court. 2.Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents. 3.The grievance of the petitioner is that though he joined as a Managing Director in the Tamil Nadu Agro Engineering Service in the year 1979, as per G.O.Ms.No.385, dated 27.11.2002, the second respondent closed the AGROFED organization and relieved the employees including the petitioner from 30.11.2004. the service benefits were not settled, the petitioner made representations to the respondents, dated 06.05.2016 and 06.07.2017. Since no action is forthcoming on the representations of the petitioner, this writ petition has been filed seeking the abovesaid relief.
4.The learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents submitted that it is agreeable for the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation and pass orders on merits. 5.In such view of the matter, this Court, without going into the merits of the matter, directs the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation, dated 06.07.2017 seeking disbursement of some of the service benefits and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law, after affording due opportunity of hearing to the petitioner. Such an exercise shall be completed within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
6.With the above direction, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs.
