[Order of the Court was made by S.M.SUBRAMANIAM, J.] This writ petition has been instituted to direct the sixth respondent not to register any document in respect of the property situate at 2/6
Mundanayackam Village, Madurai East in Survey No.17/11A to an extent of 36 cents and in Survey No.17/13 to an extent of 1 acre 36 cents based on the petitioner's representation dated 14.04.2025.
2. The contention of the petitioner is that the subject property was acquired by the Government for public usage, but was not utilised. Therefore, the said property cannot be registered under the Registration Act, 1908.
3. The learned Government Pleader appearing on behalf of the official respondents would oppose by stating that the subject property is a patta land and has also produced a copy of the A-Register to show that it stands in the name of private persons.
4. In the light of the above submission made by the learned Government Pleader, the present litigation is not falling within the character of "Public Interest Litigation" and for this reason, we are not inclined to entertain the writ petition.

5. Accordingly, this Writ Petition stands dismissed. However, there shall be no order as to costs.
