2. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioners submits that the amount of Rs. 3,00,000/- has been deposited by the first petitioner alone. However, inadvertently, in paragraphs 7 and 9 of the order dated 16.12.2025 passed in this petition, the word "petitioners" has been mentioned instead of "petitioner".
3. In view of the fact that only the first petitioner has deposited the aforesaid amount, the following modifications are ordered:- (i) In para 7, in 2nd line, 'petitioners' is replaced as 'first petitioner'. (ii) In para 9, petitioner' is replaced as 'first petitioner'.
4. Barring the above, there are no other modifications to order dated 16.12.2025.
5. Registry shall issue fresh order copy to the parties concerned incorporating the aforesaid modification.

ORDER
This Criminal Original Petition is filed seeking to quash the first Information Report in Crime No.329 of 2023, on the file of the first respondent Police, which was registered for the offences under Sections 420, 406, 468, 465 and 120B of IPC, 1860.
2. The gist of the allegations in the final report is that the petitioners received a sum of Rs.18,00,000/-(Rupees Eighteen lakhs only) from the defacto complainant on the promise of getting Central Government job to the defacto complainant and thus, committed the aforesaid offences.
3. The learned counsel for the petitioners would submit that the parties have since arrived at a compromise and decided to give a quietus to the entire dispute. The parties have filed a joint compromise memo dated 16.12.2025. 4/8
4. The petitioners and the second respondent / defacto complainant are present before this Court in person. They are identified by Mr.R.Jawahar, SSI, Palani Town Police Station, Dindigul District. The defacto complainant does not wish to pursue the said F.I.R as against the petitioners. All the parties confirmed the compromise arrived at between them. 5.Considering the nature of the allegations and the relationship between the parties, this Court is of the view that no useful purpose would be served by keeping the impugned FIR pending investigation. Accordingly, the impugned FIR in Crime No.329 of 2023 is quashed in entirety and the Criminal Original Petition stands allowed. Each of the petitioner shall deposit a sum of Rs.
10,000/-(Rupees Ten Thousand only) for establishing an E-Library to the credit of the MBHAA, in Indian Bank, Madurai Bench of Madras High Court Branch, Account No.496038755 IFSC No.IDIB000H040, MICR Code: 625019020, within a period of one week from today. The joint compromise memo dated 16.12.2025 shall form part and parcel of this order. 6.The petitioners are directed to file a memo along with the photocopy of the receipt before the Registry on or before 04.01.2026.

7.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioners submitted that at the time of availing anticipatory bail, the petitioners deposited a sum of Rs. 3,00,000/- to the credit of Crime No.329 of 2023 before the learned Judicial Magistrate, Palani. Hence, he prays for withdrawal of the same. 8.In this regard, the learned counsel appearing for the second respondent submitted that the second respondent/defacto complainant has no objection to withdraw the same.
9.Hence, the petitioner is permitted to withdraw the amount of Rs. 3,00,000/- deposited to the credit of Crime No.329 of 2023 before the learned Judicial Magistrate, Palani.
