ORDER
The petitioner has filed this petition to quash the proceedings in Crime No.8 of 2025 dated 03.02.2025 on the file of the Inspector of Police, All Women Police Station, Manapparai, Trichy District, on the ground that for the very same incident two cases have been registered against him. 2.Considering the above submision of the petitioner, this Court by order dated 23.06.2025 directed the respondent police to file a report in this regard. 3.Today, the learned Government Advocate (Crl Side) on instructions submits that the investigation in Crime No.8 of 2025 was already completed and final report was also filed before the Mahila Court, Trichy on 19.05.2025 and it is yet to be taken on file.
4.This Court considered the rival submissions made. 5.Even before filing of this criminal original petition, the respondent police have filed the final report before the Mahila Court and it is yet to be 2/4
taken on file. Therefore, this Criminal Original Petition is closed with a direction to the learned Sessions Judge, Mahila Court, Trichy to take the final report on file within a period of four weeks from today. The respondent police shall take necessary steps and follow it up with the court for ensuring that the final report is taken on file. The petitioner is at liberty to challenge the final report in the manner known to law.
