*********** By consent of both sides, this writ petition itself is taken up for final disposal.

2.The petitioner, having the requisite educational qualifications, applied for the post of Grade - II Police Constables / Grade-II Jail Warders / Fireman - 2017, when applications were called for by the respondent Police Department. Subsequently, after https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

passing the written examination, the petitioner was called for for the Physical Endurance Test.

3.Now, the grievance of the petitioner appears to be that the respondents have wrongly rejected the petitioner in the event of long jump, despite he jumped the requisite distance. 4.In view thereof, when the matter was earlier listed before this Court, this Court directed the respondents to produce the video recordings taken at the time of the event.

5.As per the said direction, the learned Additional Advocate General appearing for the respondent Department produced the video recordings and the same was played before me in the presence of the learned counsel on either side and also the petitioner.

6. As per the notification, a candidate should jump the distance of 3.80 meters. But a perusal of the video recording would clearly show that the petitioner was given two chances and in both the chances, the petitioner has jumped a distance of 3.65 meters and 3.68 meters respectively. Therefore, he has been rightly disqualified by the respondent Department.

7.In view of the above, the Writ Petition fails and the same is dismissed. No costs. Consequently, the connected Miscellaneous Petition is closed.
