O R D E R

The petitioner seeks issuance of house site patta in respect of the land bearing Survey No.91, Pallamedu Village, Vadipatti Taluk, Madurai District.

2. The petitioner states that he resides at the above mentioned address. He also states that he is an agricultural coolie and that he does not have any property other than the house site where he resides. In proof of possession, he submitted the electricity bills. Curiously, the property tax receipts also have been submitted. He states that in spite of submitting a representation seeking a house site patta, no action has been taken thereon.

3. Mr.P.Subbaraj, learned counsel for the State, accepts notice on behalf of all the respondents. He submits that the petitioner's application may be considered and disposed of on merits. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ 1/2

4. Any application for a free house site patta should be considered strictly in accordance with the applicable terms and conditions of the relevant scheme. Ordinarily, one of the principal considerations is whether the applicant owns any other property. This aspect would have to be taken into consideration while deciding on the petitioner's representation.

5. Accordingly, without going into the merits of the matter, the second respondent herein is directed to consider the petitioner's representation dated 12.07.2021 and dispose of the same by a reasoned order within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order by providing a reasonable opportunity to the petitioner and any other parties who may be affected by such reasoned order.

6. W.P(MD).No.14313 of 2021 is disposed of on these terms without any order as to costs.
