ORDER
The prayer sought for in the Writ Petition is for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the second respondent to furnish a copy of the proceedings of the Revenue Divisional Officer, Pattukkottai in R.Dis.No.14166/61/B4 dated 16.11.1961 referred to in Show Cause Notice in RC.No.G2/628/2016 dated 29.05.2017 issued by the second respondent to the petitioner, to enable the petitioner to place her case in the enquiry, before commencement of the enquiry in pursuance of the show cause notice in RC.No.G2/628/2016 dated 29.05.2017 of the second respondent.
2.The case of the petitioner is that the lands in Survey No.180/4 of Peravurani Village was purchased by her husband through a registered sale deed, dated 03.05.1983. Subsequently, mutations in the revenue records were effected in the year 1988. The petitioner's husband had also put up a construction in the said property.
3.The petitioner would claim that by a registered deed, dated 13.01.2014, the property was settled in favour of the petitioner. While so, a show cause notice dated 29.05.2017 was issued for cancellation of the assignment proceedings of the Revenue Divisional Officer, dated 16.11.1961.
4.The grievances of the petitioner is that to face the proceedings, she needs assignment order issued by the Revenue Divisional Officer. Hence, she filed the present writ petition seeking the above said relief.
5.Heard Mr.P.Thiagarajan, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.A.Muthukaruppan, learned Additional Government Pleader, who took notice for the respondents, and perused the records.
6.Considering the limited scope of the prayer sought for by the petitioner, this Court, without going into the merits of the matter, directs the second respondent to furnish the assignment order dated 16.11.1961 in R.Dis.No.14166/61/B4 as expeditiously as possible, preferably within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
7.With the above direction, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
