Prayer: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents 2 & 3 to consider the petitioner's representation dated 03.02.2015 and 07.08.2017 and consequently issue patta for the house situated at Survey No.29/1 of Block 14 in Uthayatchi Group & Ward, Kallampirambu (NGO Colony), Devakottai, Sivagangai District measuring to an extent of 3 cents.

ORDER

The petitioner seeks for a direction to the respondents 2 and 3 to consider his representations dated 03.02.2015 and 07.08.2017 and consequently, issue patta for the house situated at Survey No.29/1 of Block 14 in Uthayatchi Group & Ward, Kallampirambu (NGO Colony), Devakottai, Sivagangai District measuring to an extent of 3 cents.

2.Mr.C.Selvaraj, learned Special Government Pleader takes notice for the respondents. By consent, this Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

3.The case of the petitioner is that he along with his family members have been residing in Survey No.29/1 of Block 14 in Uthayatchi Group & Ward, Kallampirambu (NGO Colony), Devakottai, Sivagangai District for the past 25 years. The petitioner has been paying house tax since 1995 and also water tax and other taxes to the concerned authorities.

4.The petitioner would state that he approached the second respondent and submitted an application to provide patta and also sent a representation on 07.08.2017. Since no favourable order was passed, the present writ petition.

5.Considering the limited scope of the prayer sought for by the petitioner, this Court, without going into the merits of the matter, directs the second and third respondents to consider the representations of the petitioner dated 03.02.2015 and 07.08.2017 and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law, after providing opportunity to all necessary parties, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

6.With the above direction, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs.
