RESPONDENT/RESPONDENT Petition filed praying that in the circumstances stated therein and in the petition filed therewith the High Court may be pleased to pass an order of Extension of Time to grant further time of two weeks for executing sureties as per the order dated 06.08.2020 made in Crl.OP.(MD).No.8139 of 2020 on the file of this Honble High Court.

Order :This petition coming up for orders on this day, upon perusing the petition filed in support thereof and upon hearing the arguments of MR.JEGADEESAN.M, Advocate for the petitioner and of MR.M.MUTHUMANIKKAM, Government Advocate on behalf of the Respondent, the court made the following order:- This petition has been filed to extend the time to comply with the condition imposed in Crl.O.P.(MD)No.8139 of 2020 dated 06.08.2020.

2. It appears that the petitioner has been granted anticipatory bail as early as on 06.08.2020 and after a period of one year, this application has been filed for extension of time, stating that due to the pandemic situation, the petitioner could not arrange the sureties. This Court is not satisfied with the reasons assigned in the petition. Therefore, this petition is dismissed, however, with liberty to the petitioner to file a fresh application for anticipatory bail, if so advised.
