ORDER

The petitioner seeks the expeditious disposal of the revision petition filed by him before the District Revenue Officer, Virudhunagar.

2. The petitioner states that the fourth respondent obtained a patta in respect of the property bearing Survey No.665/3 on the basis of forged documents. Therefore, the petitioner filed a petition before the Revenue Divisional Officer. Such petition was rejected by order dated 09.03.2012. A revision petition was filed before the first respondent herein on 09.05.2012. In response thereto, the first respondent issued a communication to the second respondent seeking a report. However, the revision petition is said to be pending as on date. The present Writ Petition is filed in these facts and circumstances. 1/3

3. Mr.P.Subbaraj, learned counsel for the State, accepts notice on behalf of respondents 1 to 3. He submits that the first respondent may be directed to disposal of the revision petition expeditiously. In view of the nature of the order proposed to be passed, notice to the private respondent is dispensed with.

4. The record shows that the revision petition was presented as early as 09.05.2012. There has already been considerable delay in the disposal thereof. Therefore, it is just and necessary that this revision petition be disposed of expeditiously.

5. Accordingly, without going into the merits of the matter, the first respondent herein is directed to dispose of the revision petition in proceedings bearing Na.Ka.No.B2/9021/2012 after providing a reasonable opportunity to the petitioner, the fourth respondent herein and any other parties thereto. Such revision petition shall be disposed of within a period of three

(3) months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

6. Accordingly, W.P.(MD).No.14327 of 2021 is disposed of on these terms without any order as to costs. Consequently, W.M.P.(MD).No.11260 of 2021 is closed.
