Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the official respondents.

2. The petitioner wants the petition mentioned peace committee decision to be implemented.

3. I have consistently held that any decision taken in a peace committee meeting will not have any statutory force or value. The question of issuing a writ of mandamus does not arise at all.

4. At this stage, the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner states that while the rival groups have amicably resolved the issues, the authorities are now putting spokes in the wheel. I make it clear that unless the authorities are required to intervene by the force of circumstances, they shall keep away. I further make it clear that in matters relating to pooja rights, it is only the jurisdictional civil Court that can take a call in the matter and that it is not for the authority to issue any particular direction or order.

5. With this clarification and observation, the Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
